Allan grew up in Graham, North Carolina before moving to Charlotte to attend the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He later received his Master of Business Administration from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he also met his wife, Kathy.

Before entering the financial services industry, Allan worked in telecommunications, bringing a strong analytical and problem-solving background into his work as an Investment Advisor Representative and financial planner.

Allan began his financial advisory career in 2006 with Edward Jones. In 2011, he founded K.A. Gregory Wealth Management, LLC, driven by a belief in independence and the ability to provide personalized, client-focused financial planning and wealth management strategies.

He earned his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation in 2015—held by only about 30% of financial advisors—and also holds the Certified Investment Management Analyst® (CIMA®) designation, earned by roughly 3% of advisors, reflecting advanced expertise in portfolio construction and investment strategy. In 2026, Allan earned the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) designation, earned by roughly 2% of advisors, allowing him to help business owners grow, transition, and exit their businesses with confidence.

Today, Allan works with individuals, families, and business owners to develop customized financial plans designed to build and perserve long-term wealth.

Allan and his wife Kathy have lived in Lake Wylie, South Carolina for over 20 years and have two sons, Maverick and Colton. Outside of the office, Allan enjoys biking, camping, and traveling, and is actively involved in his children’s sports and future pursuits. An avid traveler, Allan and his family have camped in over 33 states.

He is also deeply committed to the local community as a founding member of the Lake Wylie Rotary Club since 2010 and has served on the board of directors for the Lake Wylie Chamber of Commerce for over 13 years.
